ABOUT US

Founded in 2007 to promote the concept of community development and learning opportunities, the International Office functions under the governance of the CBU Rector’s Office. Today it combines impressive modern facilities and a dynamic approach to build healthy cooperation bridges between CBU and countries around the world and thus to enable people at all stages of their lives to pursue stimulating learning and research opportunities and to participate effectively in national and international programmes in the field of education (formal and non formal).

 

MISSION

Our International Office has a double mission: to develop national and international co-operation and to promote mobility, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue in the framework of educational programmes under Erasmus Plus, Mevlana and Farabi.

 

VISION

CBU International Office is inspired by the vision of an educated, vibrant society in which the rights for learning opportunities of every person regardless of their social and cultural background are respected and protected. In order to achieve these objectives our Office contributes to the international integration of students and staff.

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES

• to link the CBU with world universities, research centers and other bodies that share the task of promoting cooperative activities in diverse fields of education;
• to provide international educational experiences for all students, academic and non-academic staff;
• to participate effectively in national and international programmes in the field of education (formal and non formal);
• to organize seminars, conferences and study visits;
• to provide information on courses and semesters abroad as well as on internships in Turkey;
• to support International Students and Staff;
• to promote the values of non formal learning, volunteering, active citizenship and democracy for the creation of a better future.

 

OUR OBJECTIVES

• to meet the highest standards in all areas of learning, teaching and research;
• to contribute to the international integration of students and staff;
• to promote professor, researcher and student mobility;
• to serve as a resource for the general support and promotion of the university on the international arena;
• to enable people at all stages of their lives to pursue stimulating learning opportunities regardless of their social and cultural background;
• to explore new ways and new roles for the university to fulfill its many roles in the new age of learning.
